This page explains how to delete your Perkroo account and the data attached to it. Perkroo is published by Rishaal Sharma (Australia). You can request deletion whether or not you still have the app installed.
Option 1 — delete it yourself in the app (fastest)
If you still have Perkroo installed:
- Open Perkroo and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and the data listed below are deleted straight away, and you're signed out.
Option 2 — ask us to delete it
If you've already removed the app, or you'd rather we did it, email perkroo.2026@outlook.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my Perkroo account".
We'll confirm the request, delete the account, and email you when it's done — normally within 7 days, and within 30 days at the outside. We may ask you to confirm from your sign-up address before acting, so that nobody else can delete your account.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials (email address, password, display name).
- The memberships you added.
- Your logged savings and redemption history.
- Your personal corrections, saved and hidden offers, and your birthday settings.
- Your subscription record on our side. (See the note about billing below.)
What stays, and why
- Offers you contributed to the shared catalogue. Once a submission or correction has been reviewed and published, the offer itself stays in the catalogue for other members — but it is unlinked from you, and it never carried your name or contact details in the first place.
- Photos attached to a published community offer. If you submitted an offer with a photo and it was published, the photo stays with that offer in the shared catalogue, unlinked from your account. Want a specific photo taken down? Email us and we'll remove it.
- Submissions waiting for review. An offer you submitted that a moderator hasn't reviewed yet, and any photo with it, stays for a moderator to review or remove, unlinked from your account.
- Our service providers' own records. RevenueCat keeps a record of your account ID and any purchases, and Apple or Google keep their own purchase records, under their own privacy policies.
- Moderation and abuse records. We keep a minimal record where we have to, to stop abuse and meet our legal obligations. It doesn't identify you publicly.
- Backups. Deleted data can persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before those backups roll over, after which it's gone.
Things we never had
Membership card numbers and card photos you saved are stored only on your phone — they are never uploaded to us, so there is nothing for us to delete. Delete account removes your saved cards from the app; removing the app also deletes the photo files. We never receive your payment card details either; billing is handled by Apple or Google.
Cancelling your subscription
Deleting your Perkroo account does not cancel a Perkroo Premium subscription, because the billing relationship is with the app store, not with us. Cancel it first:
- iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Perkroo Premium → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Perkroo Premium → Cancel.
