Privacy Policy

Perkroo ("we", "us") helps you track the memberships you already have and the perks they include. This policy explains what information the Perkroo app collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and you can delete everything yourself from inside the app.

What we collect and why

Email address and name	To create and secure your account, and so your saved data follows you across devices.
Birthday month (optional — month only, never the date or year)	To show you birthday-month perks from your providers.
Postcode (optional)	To estimate the distance to nearby offers. Distances are approximate, based on the postcode's centre point.
Precise location (optional, only with your iOS permission)	To improve distance estimates while you use the app. You can switch back to postcode-only or off at any time in Location settings.
Your memberships and activity — providers you add, offers you save or hide, savings you log	This is the core of the app: it's how Perkroo shows you your offers and your savings total.
Community submissions — offers you share, including an optional photo	Shared offers are reviewed by our moderators and, if approved, shown publicly to other users (without your name or contact details).
Subscription status	To unlock Premium features if you subscribe. Payment is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your card details.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
We don't read your email, contacts, or photos (a photo is only uploaded if you attach one to a community submission).
We never collect payment details — Apple processes all purchases.

Who processes your data

Perkroo uses a small number of service providers to run the app:

Supabase — hosts our database and handles account sign-in. Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure and protected by per-user access rules.
RevenueCat — manages subscription status (which plan you're on and until when). It receives your account identifier and Apple purchase receipts, never your payment details.
Apple — processes Premium subscription payments under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account exists. Approved community submissions may remain visible to other users (not attributed to you) after you delete your account, since they've become part of the shared catalogue.

Deleting your data

Open Profile → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your account, your memberships, your savings history, and your personal details from our systems. It cannot be undone. You can also email us (below) and we'll delete it for you.

Your subscription

Premium is billed by Apple to your Apple ID. To manage or cancel it, use your Apple ID subscription settings — deleting the app or your account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Children

Perkroo is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Meaningful changes will be flagged in the app.
