Rental vehicle excess insurance (Australia)

Complimentary rental vehicle excess insurance for eligible rental vehicles hired in Australia and paid for with the card; insurer terms and conditions apply. For existing HSBC Star Alliance cardholders only: the card is closed to new applicants and can be used for payments until 17 November 2026. Cover ends 1 January 2028, so rentals on or after that date are not covered.
