Overseas transit accident insurance with up to $650,000 cover

Complimentary Overseas Transit Accident Insurance for existing HSBC Platinum Qantas cardholders: accidental death and injury cover, up to $650,000 for the cardholder, while travelling as a fare-paying passenger on an overseas trip by plane, train, bus, taxi or short-haul ferry. The entire fare must be charged to the card before the trip starts, and the card's final transaction day is 17 November 2026. HSBC is no longer accepting applications; cover ends 1 January 2028 and only events before that date can be claimed.
